I use AI tools for parts of my creative business. Here's how:
Strategy. My AuDHD brain generates ideas faster than it can organize them. AI serves as my strategic analyst and executive function backup — holding all the variables while I make the decisions. No social battery drain, infinite patience for my process. For my neurodivergent brain, this is assistive technology.
Audiobooks. My 1/2986 series is narrated by the brilliant Emma Galvin. For my backlist, I started using ElevenLabs AI narration to create audio editions I couldn't otherwise afford to produce.
Cover art & illustrations. I have used Midjourney for cover and internal design elements, combined with my own artwork. I pivoted to drawing/painting my own illustrations in January 2026.
